Inspection & Testing

Complying with the Electricity at Work Regulation 1989, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and BS7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations) a periodic inspection of an existing installation will identify and report deficiencies against the national standard.

Any faults found will be listed in our report one to four in terms of priority. Minor remedial works will be repaired and re-tested at the time of inspection.

A periodic inspection will

• Identify overloaded circuits
• Locate potential shock or fire hazards within the installation
• Advice of defective electrical work
• Check presence of earthling and bonding

Typically the frequency of an inspection and testing report to be carried out is every 3 YEARS for an industrial installation, every 5 YEARS for commercial and every 10 YEARS for a domestic property or on change of occupancy.
